Old, dense-headed hammers are cool. Best nail pounders.

John, I wouldn't hold your breath on the 98's. I recently looked at all the 68s that I had submitted and it was a grim summary -- 771 cards submitted and only 2 98's.
I also researched the SGC pop reports for the '68 set....almost 11,000 cards submitted and 87 total 98's! Brutal, absolutely brutal. After doing this, I was happy to have 2.

Straw or other 76 Experts,
Did the 76's offered by chiroman on ebay tonight finish for decent prices? I don't follow the market but John you got me looking at these cards and remembering fun times. I thought these would go cheaper or at least I was under that impression. There was a Psa 9 1976 Carter sold by a 'fsmith' or something like that. It sold for around $24 while the Sgc 96 was $32 with a few minutes to go. I was surprised.

John,
Nice pick-up on the Jackson. I bid on the Carter since it looked so nice. I think the prices on these were great. I compared them all to Psa 9 latest results. Other than Jackson (where a Psa 9 closes tomorrow) the Sgc prices smoked all the Psa 9 prices. However, looking at the Psa 9 that closed I found that the Psa card was not even close to as nice as the 'chiroman' 96.

Tony I think chiroman did very well on what he had to offer! The Randolph doesn't really come up that often in mint shape but the Carter,Palmer and Robinson are on ebay all the time so he did well! I didn't see what the Brock ended at because I have that one? I had snipes in on 5 cards and 3 didn't fire. The Jackson does look a lot better than the PSA 9 on ebay right now? I put the Jackson in the top 10 cards in the set for toughness and price in mint condition.
For the 76 Collectors, and with thanks to Stanthemanfan, I've got a 76 Maximino Leon coming back in my latest sub graded SCG 96, the only one in the population.
