Don't let my post count fool you.
This is my first post in the SGC area of the Forums.
I've been hanging out in the comic zone.

I was just wondering about SGC grading scale as it relates to PSA and the alpha grades (MINT, NM/MT, NM, etc...).

PSA 10 = ?? SGC
PSA 9 = ?? SGC
...
...
PSA 1 = ?? SGC

And
SGC ?? = Mint
SGC ?? = NM/MT
...
...
SGC ?? = GOOD and so forth

I have had cards graded by PSA a few years ago but have never used SGC (yet).
I have used CGC btw...

Old, dense-headed hammers are cool. Best nail pounders.

Hello Aces and welcome to the basement!

In the following = means roughly equivalent...not exactly equal.

SGC 100 -- pristine (PSA doesn't have this grade, I'm not sure that SGC does either
SGC-98 -- gem mint = PSA-10
SGC-96 -- mint = PSA-9
SGC-92 -- nm/mt+ -- PSA doesn't do half grades, this is like an 8.5
SGC-88 -- nm/mt = PSA-8
SGC-86 -- nm+, again a half grade 7.5
SGC-84 -- nm = PSA-7
SGC-80 -- ex/mt = PSA-6
SGC-70 -- ex+ (5.5)
SGC-60 -- ex = PSA-5

I'm not exactly sure where it goes from here...but if you look on SGC's page on grades they give the 1-10 equivalent to their 1-100 grades.

Do you have a link?
I get to these boards through the CGC home page.

Thank for your quick reply!

Also I am looking to sell/trade off some of my raw cards.
I know I won't get much for them.
Mostly 70s-up- moderns- junk.

I sold 90%+ (I thought I sold it all) of my 70s/80s stuff and found a few more small boxes of cards.

I forgot I had seperated some of the high grade listed starts.

Thanks for the link.
