Hi guys I'm a comic guy and needed to ask you guys a question. My sisters husband just gave me a couple of Topps baseball and hockey cards he wants me to sell for him and I have no idea what to do. All of the cards are from like 1975 and on (there arn't that many) He seems to think that two of them are Patrick Roy rookie cards but it has the stats for two seasons on the back so that would make it his third year card rigtht? There is a very similar card of Tom Barraso and two Nolan Ryan cards ect. ect. If anyone can point me in the right direction I can make a list. Any help would be greatly appreciated. So ebay or what?

Have a good weekend,
Eric

Patrick Roy would be the 1986-87 season I think.

Did you have any Hockey cards from the mid 70s that were Buffalo Sabres?
71 - 77?
None are really keys execpt one or two rookies.
I just wanted the team players from my childhood.

They don't have to be Ultra-High grade but EM or NM would be welcome.

Sorry Aces it seems that most of the hockey cards are from around 86, which is the year of both the Patrick Roy cards by the way, and most of the baseball cards are around 1975. Not sure why that is. The only Sabres card I have is Tom Barrasso Topps #105 from the 1985 season. Hope this helps.

Alas no...

I only wanted early to mid 70s.
The 80s were a terrible time for the Sabres.
Over 10 years without winning a playoff series...

You won't have much luck selling modern (80-up) comics or cards I'm afraid, unless they are ultra high grade.

My Gil Perreault Rookie from 71!
NM or just EM+?

Hard to tell from the scan but it looks like I can see wear on all 4 corners. If thats true when you take the centering into account, you likely would be lower than EM.

Less than EM? Really?

Well I guess the rookie card of your all time favorite player biases your grading some. I sent my Gretzy rookies in and got a PSA 8 and PSA 7 which is what I thought the range they would be in.

As I said, hard to tell from your scan but based on the way the scan presented, it looked like there was wear visible on all 4 corners. If that is true and you combine that with what looks to be no better than 70/30 centering left to right then you would be hard pressed to be EM.

I didn't phrase that right.

I should have said "Well I guess the rookie card of my all time favorite player biases my grading some."

I meant "your" in the generic sense.
Everyone has a favorite player and they tend to be less strict when grading those cards.

NJ,

Don't forget the stain on the right side. I'd go with ex at best.
