It has been slow going. Submitted to the How I Collect Registry:

1964 Philly Jerry Reichow, Minnesota Vikings, SGC 92
1964 Philly Ed Sharockman, Minnesota Vikings, SGC 92
1967 Philly Bill Brown, Minnesota Vikings, SGC 92

70 cards totaling 6,424 points for an average grade of 91.77 -- an increase of .01 since my January 2005 post.

Things have gotten slow. I missed out on a couple super sweet SGC 96 cards that I got outbid on and forgot to track on ebay. They were from 1960s, but I cannot remember the year --- glad I've already forgotten because they were 1 of 1s

I've been picking up BVG Topps Baseball in 8.5 and higher from 1978 to 1980, with special focus on 1978. Let me know if you can help me there.

John,

I desire Topps (not OPC) North Stars from their inception through their demise from MN. However, it is not a main focus and I only do it for non-graded cards --- ExMT+ and better.

Not much of a hockey fan, but I watched a few games growing up that were called by Lou Nanne and/or that "other guy" with the curly hair that I think is still around.

Anyway, North Stars had cool uniforms --- cards are neat to collect.

Won't be too much longer before the Twins leave town at the rate the taxpayers and politicians in the state are treating the need for a new stadium. Just yesterday, the Twins sued the Metrodome/Minneapolis Sports Commission to release them from an obligation to play in the stadium. A whole generation of kids missed the opportunity to see outdoor MLB in Minnesota on nice summer days and nights --- A TOTAL SHAME

Hello SGC Collectors,

I cannot believe it has been so long since I gave an update to my "How I Collect" Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins cards.

I'm now at 231 out of 380 1961 to 1980 Minnesota Vikings cards with an average grade of 92.805. I have put in a new & improved scan of each and every card.

I recently received back a real nice submission from SGC, and I love the new holders. They stack better, feel better and the hologram on the reverse side has been replaced with a much improved SGC logo that looks very "classy". Nice job SGC!

Thanks Tony & FYS. Yes, I just recently noticed the all-star sets they put up. I just recently filled them out in the registry and have scans of all the cards. My 1977 set is complete, and I'm getting close on 1975! I will be cross-over another 40+ cards to SGC before the end of February; mostly from BVG holders with many 78 All-Stars.

It's been a year since I've posted, but I've been keeping my Vikings "How I Collect" Registry updated with new cards and scans. I'm now 282 out of 414 cards completed (expanding the volume of what to collect from 1961 to 1980). 68% complete.

Brian has helped me add Vikings Team Sets to the registry and this will help drive my focus on the remaining ~1/3 of my quest.

I'd love to share some cards in the thread. I've even loaded images to Photo Bucket. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to use this message board to include the image directly into the posting. Why so difficult. Help.
