I think SGC would be better off to differentiate themselves from Beckett. Contrary to popular belief the entire Beckett operation is not the pinnacle of the card world. I will sum up my Beckett feeling in three words "conflict of interest." They have a price guide, up until a short time ago they owned a card shop, they grade cards??????? Sorry, I forgot, the price guide sucks and is so out of touch with the true market it is virtually useless. How often do we actually consult Beckett before buying a card??????? If we do, we usually like the 50% figure, so tell me how they produce an accurate guide.
