After a month, 144 sets is a good number. This reaction move than validates the decision to move ahead with the registry. I wonder what the ratio of set collectors who post their set at the registry and those who do the spy v. spy thing. All in all, an excellent 2002 for SGC collector. SGC has added:
Price Guides Pop Reports Message Boards Easier, lower pricing tiers Registry
It is a positive sign that despite tough industry times, SGC has continued to invest in its product, with "a plan for the future mindset." Hopefully, SGC will keep pushing forward in 2003.

Old, dense-headed hammers are cool. Best nail pounders.

Matt,
Any idea how many are "real"...for instance, when I look through the 60's baseball that are more that a few with a single card that look more like place-holders (place-holders for what, I'm not sure!).

Hopefully we will continue to see growth as people receive their submissions back from the Registry, Economy Buster, and Crossover specials.

Agreed. I've sent some cards in using the registry and economy buster specials. I know a couple of guys took advantage of the crossover special. Have these specials increased your submissions in the last couple of months?

It got me to submit more cards sooner. I also know folks who are in the same position. I think SGC should extend it for another 60 days, let it laspe and crank it up again for the run up to the National. Definitely keep the cross over special going!
