On psa community message boards check out post by ctsoxfan--buy card not holder. There is a 72 Topps psa 9 Clemente in Action with almost no left border.
Everyone makes mistakes but it certainly lends credence to recent stories about the "one-and-out" policy at psa prevalent these days.

I think that the most likely explanation for that one is a mechanical error -- I have never seen a card that ugly in a PSA-9 holder...or even a GEM-9 holder! It does says alot about their quality control processes (or lack there of).
SGC might want to run an ad with this card image being the cornerstone of the ad. You would think that PSA would try to buy the card and take it off the market.
