Ok, so I think I might use the grading coupons to attempt to sell some of my O'neal and MJ cards. I've been looking for prices for what stuff sells for..but I'm very very confused..many times nicer cards graded higher go for lower then a lower grade of another company. What gives?

M > Grading is all about adding value. Some companies' grades pull higher prices, add more value, than other companies. And grading standards can differ. What defines a mint card isn't absolutely standardized throughout the industry. There is a saying, buy the card, not the holder -- if you do that you can't go wrong.

Old, dense-headed hammers are cool. Best nail pounders.

Brian,

Also, be careful -- if you are using Becketts as your price guide, you will notice that they say Beckett grated cards are the most valuable...interesting position when you grade cards and then determine value...hmmmmm
