Just in case anyone is interested ...

Two 1977 Topps (baseball) and 24 1978 Topps (baseball) ... all in MINT condition -- SGC 96 ... will be available in an upcoming Teletrade Auction set to conclude on January 23rd.

Also available are some nice 55 Bowmans and a sweet 1953 Bowman Color Yogi Berra graded SGC 92. The Berra looks to be slightly off center to the top and to the left and has a slight diamond cut (look closely). Otherwise, it's a beauty.

Mark,

Thanks for the notification.

I haven't had much luck getting SMR-type prices for either SGC 88 or PSA 8 1953 Berras the past six months so I don't know how well this SGC 92 will do. My feeling is that it will sell at a bargain price, but I could be wrong.

On the 1955 Bowmans, there are some very nice cards available. For those who haven't submitted many of these to SGC, they usually "hammer" them pretty good. I've always thought that SGC 92s in this issue are roughly equivalent to PSA 9s (for those who want to know).

The best card in the lot? Check out that 1954 Bowman Ted Williams! I can almost taste and smell it as I sit here. I'll have to keep an eye on that one.

Thanks. It could be they have a different everytime, but they seem to have a Rose '77 SGC 96 each time..... Probably the same one.

The 1977 and 1978 have been cycling for months now. They are the same cards. Whoever consigned them obviously wants too much and shills them to levels that market, obviously, will not pay. Unfortuantely much of the 70s SGC material on teletrade is similar.

I don't know if anyone has checked the auction recently, but some of the SGC graded cards are selling for some very impressive prices.

Tony,

You are welcome!

You know, if it were feasible, I think I would only buy and sell bobbin head dolls. Neat stuff! Great on desks and tables. Pets like them too. There's something about them that is absolutely mesmerizing. Before long, I'll probably have a few in my car...
