One of the largest mark-ups I've seen since Tiger Woods cards first hit...

Wasn't this card the insert in the back of last year's National Convention program? I think it was. And isn't that stamp on it the one that the company would do for free if you stopped by their booths? I guess the GAI "1st graded" tag is what makes this card so valuable.

Old, dense-headed hammers are cool. Best nail pounders.

Being totally unknowledgeable about card values, how much was Tiger Woods' first card marked up to when it first came out? Did/has it sold?

When the Tiger Woods hobby lore was still fresh like morning dew on grass, a 1996 Sports Illustrated For Kids (Tiger Woods) PSA 10 allegedly sold for $125,000 on eBay. That card, much like this one, was produced in fairly large numbers and was part of a perforated 9-card sheet. I suppose it's only a matter of time before one of LeBron James' cards sells for a similar astronomical price.
Today, a 1996 SI for Kids Tiger Woods (PSA 10) is worth far less.

To me its INSANE to spend that kind of cash on a modern card of any sport/player. I could buy atleast five nice exmt-nm SGC graded Old Judge cards for the "buy it now" price and there 116 years old!
