BKAH,

Hey welcome to the Sgc forums. I think Bonds should have a good
year if he doesn't get hurt. My question is how do you think Kent
will do? It seems that Houston has decent players but can't seem
to get the pitching they need to advance in the playoffs. I wonder
if Kent will suffer from not having Bonds in the lineup.

Offensively, Kent should be fine. I don't see that Bonds in front or behind Kent in the lineup had any positive effects other than more RBI/Runs opportunities. But those are counting stats, and don't impact base skill indicators.

The biggest impact of the Kent move will be to the Astro's offense. Biggio's number last year would rank at the bottom of ML outfielders. Adding Kent is great. But having Biggio eat up at bats from an OF spot with those numbers will negate Kent's impact.

well, bonds will do just ok. and thats about it. and its not because of kent.

kent, however, is going to kick some butt. i mean some record numbers this year. i like kent and will miss him.
