Do you think MattJones will be the hot rookie card this year? I watched some of the Sage Hit auto's on ebay and could not believe the prices they were going for. If Not Matt Jones then who?

I watched some of the coverage of this year's draft. Matt Jones was alternately described as a "physical freak" and a "project player". Even through he will be changing positions, he must have talent to spare to be drafted so highly.

But the answer to your question is ... it's a total crapshoot. Pure speculation. A lot of #1 picks have been busts, and their cards' prices reflect that fact.

So ... are you planning on rolling the dice ... ?

Yeah, I still have a few stacks of Cory snyders, Pete Incaviglias, Ron Kittles, and Sam Horns lying around somewhere. Then again, I managed to pick up a large stack of 84 Donruss Mattinglys and Joe Carters for nothing in 1984 during the rookie craze.
