Probably made a newbie mistake by over-estimating my card quality. Had some 1959 Fleers graded by BVG. Corners were my downfall. 8.5 to 9.5 for edges, centering, and surfaces; 6.5 for corners so 7 overall. Might I do better with another major grader? Or just post them on eBay hoping buyers appreciate the better qualities indicated by the sub-grades. Thanks

Tough call bbfan454,
If you are planning on moving the cards anyway, I'd probably let them go as they are now -- and let the next person deal with crossing them over, if they want to.
My personal feeling is that if BVG got you for 6.5 corners, you probably won't do a whole lot better than a 7 anywhere (reputable) that you go. If you want to give it a shot, SGC has a $3 x-over deal going now (but it expires on 3/31) and they do half grades...but their reputation is that they are very tough on corners. GAI also has a $3 x-over deal going now and they also do half grades, so that's also an option. Finally, PSA now does x-overs at $10 a pop (I think)...but no half grades, and it might be a stretch to get to an 8...but if you score, it would be great!
It's a tough call -- invest some more and hope for the best...or just get on with it.

I would first try to sell with a reserve to protect your investment and your reasonable expectation for profit. If the reserve is not met, I would reholder in SGC. Go for the move trusted vintage grader with a more attractive holder...
