i thought that mine would get that grade too. maybe a re-submission? it is super sharp...was in a screw down case for nearly 10 years b4 it was sent in....never touched.

I doubt its the centering. Ive seen 98s with the same centering as yours. Maybe its the edges or a corner?

i agree....doubtful i would re-submit. I have seen 98s go in the $10K range though......so a re-submit is a decent gamble.

sharp is NOT enough. They may be sharp but have just enough color loss to down grade. How about the edges? There might be tiny touches on the edges that might bring it down. I could be wrong about the centering though. The rest of the card would have to be PERFECT with the 60/40 centering the card has. I wouldnt resub it.

Do you know where I can get a PSA/SGC/BGS Gem 10/98/9.5. Basically Im looking for a PSA 10 Jordan #57. I see you are well traveled in the card industry so i figure maybe you could sniff one out for me. MUST be decently centered. I hate those "GEM" 60/40 centered jobs. Thanks, Sol

Take a close look at the left edge. I think that the combination of 40/60 centering plus the very slight ruff-cut (serration) on that left edge, both factors being present, may have contributed to the 96 grade instead of a 98. There also appears to be some minor printing "donuts" (spotting) on the lower red framing, although I think that MOST of the Jordans have this due to the plate engraving. STILL, a beautiful card, all in all.
