That about says it all. Curious to know because I remeber them being pretty tough graders unlike PRO and some other companies. Have any of you swaped CSA cards into SGC or PSA holders?

I have not crossed over CSA to SGC, but i have bought a few. For the most part, I thought the grades weren't so far off. Expect a 1/2 to full grade lower, but I don't regret pruchasing them.

I know they arent KRAP like Pro. Ive heard of CSA 10s crossing over to SGC 98s and PSA 10s but I want to hear others opinions too!

Old, dense-headed hammers are cool. Best nail pounders.

My experience is a single card -- a '71 league leaders with Gibson, Jenkins and Perry...it was a CSA-7.5 and I bought it without seeing a scan. The card is a very weak 7, at best, with alot of chipping on the black borders. I bought the card a while ago (it is in a big blue clunker of a holder), so don't have any more recent information. Given this experience, it was the last CSA card that I bought.

I'm with VaYank -- based on my limited experience, if you're planning on x-ing over to one of the major companies, expect to get hammered.

dropping a half grade isnt really a "hammering". Some of the Pro cards Ive seen graded would be fortunate not to be dropped 2 grades. Now thats a hammerin'!

The majority of PRO-graded cards won't even get into another holder. Go ahead and buy all the CSA stuff you want -- IMHO, they won't cross well.

I wont buy a CSA card unless I can see it first. I remember them grading quite well on par with PSA. Im in the process of testing this theory. I hope im right! I know how to grade. I was offered a full time grading job at one of the larger grading companies that I had to decline.

phatty once defied gravity, several known physical laws governing matter and several more mathematical corollaries by squeezing through a keyhole. yes. phatty knows what you're thinking -- it was a regular sized keyhole and phatty did not use a blender or baby oil.
