Lothar52,
The cross over special was $3. I think that ended on 3/31. $3 did all the things you said. Can someone verify if I'm wrong?
I never paid that. Most of my crossovers have been done at a show as a show submission. In this case the cost was higher. But I liked the quick turnaround and for me the smaller sets do not have a high grading cost. It's the darn cards that cost a lot.
I submitted cards for cross-over during the $3 special. The deal is: $3 flat ... per card ... for crossover. No extra cost for pre-screen, bust out, etc.
You DO have to pay to ship to/from ... but there's no way that should tack on an additional $4 per card. Better check with your "friend" to get an explanation.
Also, if your "friend" didn't get your cards in to SGC under the 3/31 deadline, the best cross-over grading fee you can hope for is $5 per card (plus shipping).
