I spoke with a grader regarding miscut cards and my predetermination regarding Daniel's card was wrong. Daniel's card is not "miscut" by SGC standard's. SGC defines "MISCUT" to mean a factory miscut edge where it may appear to look as though it were trimmed from the cutting blade not cleanly cutting through the stock. I have actually seen a number of 1967 Topps cards that looked this way. Cards that are off cut such as the Aaron is not considered miscut by their grading standards and will receive a numerical grade as long as they have not been altered. As for the Havlicek, there is a slim border at the bottom which allowed the card to fall into the numerical grade it received. The back is not as important as the front, although it does factor in over all.
